Outdoor Climbing

Throughout the year, ACG works to organize several outdoor climbing trips on both rock and ice. These trips are led by professional guide partners and are consistently some of our most popular programs. Keep reading to learn more!

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to climb with Adaptive Climbing Group?

The cost of outdoor climbing trips can vary based on the type, length, and location. We strive to make trips as affordable and accessible as possible, and can offer help with financing based on need.

How do I sign up?

Outdoor climbing trips are announced throughout the year in one of our newsletters. Subscribe to your chapter's newsletter at the bottom of the page to stay up-to-date, or contact us directly on one of our Locations pages to inquire about the event calendar.

Who should I contact if I have additional questions?

Please fill out the contact form on our About page to get in touch!

Am I an adaptive climber?

If you have a permanent disability that limits normal daily function either physically, mentally, or developmentally, the Adaptive Climbing Group considers you to be an adaptive climber.

Do I need to bring my own gear?

No, you do not need to bring your own gear! If you have equipment that you would like to bring, please feel free to do so. However, our guide partners are prepared to outfit participants with all of the required items (shoes, harness, belay device, etc.).

Do I need to have a disability to participate?

Not at all! If you're interested in making a difference, we would highly encourage you to volunteer at one of our upcoming sessions. Friends, family members, and aids are also welcome to join sessions to support or accompany adaptive climbers who participate in our programming.
